Hydraulic System Bleeding
- Raise and support front of vehicle. Turn wheels fully left. With engine stopped, fill fluid reservoir to MIN or COLD mark on reservoir dipstick. Start engine, and operate it at fast idle for about 30 seconds.
- Stop engine, and recheck fluid level. Fill fluid reservoir to MIN or COLD mark on reservoir dipstick. Start engine, and turn steering wheel from side to side 3-4 times. Stop engine, and recheck fluid level.
- If fluid has a light Tan color, air exists in system. Repeat steps 1) and 2) until no air exists. Once system reaches normal operating temperature, stop engine and ensure fluid level is at MAX or FULL mark on reservoir dipstick.
- Return wheels to center position. Lower vehicle to ground and continue to idle engine for 2-3 minutes. Road test vehicle to ensure steering functions normally and is free of noise. Check for fluid leaks. Ensure fluid level is still at MAX or FULL level.
