Cruise Control System: Operation

The CCM monitors vehicle speed and provides necessary commands to the actuator to maintain or change vehicle speed in response to inputs from cruise control switch. Cruise control operation is disengaged when one or more of the cancel switches closes. Upon receiving a cancel signal, CCM de-energizes a magnetic clutch inside cruise control actuator.
