Initial Inspection

Before proceeding with any electrical trouble shooting, perform a mechanical inspection first. Begin inspection with simple items and continue to more difficult procedures. Some of the major items to include in inspection are:

• Check connection on both ends of cruise control cable.
• Ensure cruise control cable moves freely.
• Check cruise control module and actuator for bare, broken, or disconnected wires.

If mechanical inspection reveals no problems, proceed to SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  .
