Steering Wheel & Air Bag Module: Removal

1. Disable SRS system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING SRS  . Ensure front wheels face straight ahead. Remove side trim covers from steering column. See Figure . Remove 2 Torx screws and pull air bag module from steering wheel. Release CPA clip and disconnect air bag module connector. Remove air bag module. See Figure .
2. Disconnect horn and cruise control harness connectors from steering wheel. Remove steering wheel retaining nut. Mark steering wheel and shaft for reassembly reference. Using steering wheel puller, remove steering wheel. See Fig 1 .
