Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Oxygen sensor(s) may be mounted in exhaust manifold and/or exhaust pipe, below exhaust header. Sensor is equipped with a permanent pigtail which must be protected from damage when removing sensor. Ensure sensor is free of contaminants, but avoid using cleaning solvents of any type.
- O2S is secured with 2 nuts. Raise vehicle (if necessary). Disconnect O2S electrical connector, and remove O2S mounting nuts and O2S. Tighten mounting nuts to 30 ft. lbs. (41 N.m).
