Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove distributor cap. See Figure. Mark distributor-to-engine position and distributor rotor-to-distributor housing position for installation reference. Remove distributor harness connector and 2 hold-down bolts. Remove distributor.
- DO NOT rotate crankshaft with distributor removed, or reference marks will be incorrect. To install distributor, use reference marks and reverse removal procedure. Use a new "O" ring. Install mounting bolts. DO NOT tighten mounting bolts fully, until timing is reset. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
