Description & Operation

All models are equipped with a Nippondenso generator, which have a maximum output of 70 amps. Nippondenso generators are serviceable and can be repaired or overhauled.

Generator uses an internal voltage regulator. The Integrated Circuit (IC) regulator is a solid state unit mounted inside generator to rear end frame. Voltage regulator voltage cannot be adjusted.

Two brushes carry current through 2 slip rings to field coil mounted on rotor. Stator windings are assembled inside a laminated core forming part of generator drive and frame assemblies. A rectifier bridge containing 8 diodes is connected to stator windings.
