Ignition Timing: Notes
- Remove rubber inspection cap from window on cylinder block. Attach timing light. Engine should be idling at normal operating temperature.
- Timing is correct if specified mark on flywheel is aligned with index pointer on crankcase.
- To adjust, loosen distributor bolt and turn body counterclockwise to retard timing and clockwise to advance timing.
