Hot Engine
- Reconnect vacuum hose, start engine and allow to idle. Ensure cooling fan comes on. Disconnect hose from idle boost diaphragm and connect hose to vacuum pump/gauge.
- Run engine speed to more than 2500 RPM and check for vacuum. There should be no vacuum. If there is no vacuum, test is complete. If there is vacuum, check voltage at idle boost solenoid valve.
- If there is no voltage, replace idle boost solenoid valve. If there is voltage, go to steps 6) through 14) in IDLE BOOST CONTROL, COLD ENGINE section.
