Air Bleed Valve B
- Disconnect air bleed valve B No. 39 vacuum hose from intake manifold and connect vacuum pump. See Fig 1
. With ambient temperature less than 149°F (65°C), apply vacuum. If vacuum holds, go to next step. If vacuum does not hold, replace air bleed valve B and retest.
- Warm air bleed valve with a heat gun to greater than 149°F (65°C). Apply vacuum. If vacuum holds, replace air bleed valve B. If vacuum does not hold, valve is functioning properly.
