Shift Control Cable
- Start engine and move shift lever into the "R" position. Ensure transaxle engages in Reverse. With engine off, remove the console.
- Move shift lever into the "D" position. Remove lock pin from cable adjuster. Check that hole in adjuster is perfectly aligned with hole in shift cable. See Fig 1
.
- The 2 holes in the end of the shift cable are positioned to allow cable adjustments in 1/4 turn increments. If not perfectly aligned, adjustment can be made on shift cable.
- Loosen lock nut on shift cable and adjust as required. Tighten lock nut. Install lock pin on adjuster. See Fig 1
.
- Lock pin should not bind as it is installed. Start engine and check shift lever in all gears.
