Diode (Rectifier) Assembly
- With rectifier removed from alternator, check for continuity in both directions (reverse test probes) between terminal "B" and each terminal "P(1)"-"P(4)" on rectifier. Then check for continuity in both directions between terminal "E" (ground) and each terminal "P(1)"-"P(4)". See Fig 1.
- All diodes should show a low continuity reading in one direction and NO continuity in the opposite direction (reversing test probes). If any diode fails test, complete rectifier assembly must be replaced. Diodes are not available separately from manufacturer.
