TDC/CRANK Sensor (Civic 1.5L & CRX Std.)

The TDC/CRANK sensor is a combination sensor located inside of the distributor housing. Each sensor generates its own separate signal. The TDC sensor is used to determine ignition timing at start-up (cranking) and when crank angle signal is abnormal. The CRANK sensor determines timing for fuel injection and ignition of each cylinder and also detects engine RPM.
