Throttle Control Cable
NOTE:
Before adjusting throttle control cable, remove all free play from inner throttle cable. This is the cable that connects accelerator pedal to linkage on carburetor or throttle body.
- With engine running at normal operating temperature (cooling fan comes on) and at correct idle speed, loosen throttle control cable adjustment nuts at transaxle control lever bracket. See Fig 1 .
- Adjust nuts on cable to synchronize transaxle throttle control lever to move the same time as throttle lever at carburetor or throttle body. Tighten adjustment locknuts.
NOTE:
Do not shorten cable (increasing throttle pressure) more than .118" (3.0 mm) from its synchronized position.
