Throttle Control Cable
NOTE:
To taylor the shift/lock-up characteristics to a particular customers driving expectations, you can adjust the control cable up to .118" (3.0 mm) shorter than the "synchronized" point.
NOTE:
Before adjusting throttle control cable, remove all free play from inner throttle cable, connecting accelerator pedal to carburetor or throttle body linkage.
- With engine idling at normal operating temperature (cooling fan comes on), loosen throttle control cable adjustment lock nuts at transaxle control lever bracket. See Fig 1 .
- Adjust lock nuts to synchronize movement of transaxle throttle control lever and carburetor or throttle body throttle lever. Tighten adjustment lock nuts.
NOTE:
DO NOT shorten cable (increasing throttle pressure) more than .118" (3.0 mm) from its synchronized position.
