Wiper Motor Test

  1. Disconnect wiper motor 5-pin connector. Using jumper wires, connect positive battery lead to pin No. 4 (Green/Black wire) and negative battery lead to pin No. 2 (Blue wire) at wiper motor connector. Ensure wiper motor operates on low speed. See Fig 1 .
  2. Using jumper wires, connect positive battery lead to pin No. 4 (Green/Black wire) and negative battery lead to pin No. 1 (Blue/Yellow wire) at wiper motor connector. Wiper motor should operate on high speed. Replace wiper motor if it fails to run smoothly. See Fig 1 .
  3. Connect analog voltmeter between pins No. 3 (Black wire) and No. 5 (Blue/White wire). Replace wiper motor if 0 - 4 volts is not indicated alternately with wiper motor running.
