Power Door Lock Control Unit

  1. Remove the passenger's door panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Disconnect the 12P connector terminals to be sure they are all making good contact. See Fig 1 .
  3. Inspect the connector terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
    • If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
    • If the terminals look okay, make the following input test at the connector terminals. See Fig 2 and Fig 3 .
    • If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the course, then recheck the system.
    • If all the input tests prove okay, the control unit must be faulty; replace it.
