Mode Control Switch

Remove heater control panel. Disconnect 14-pin connector. Check for continuity between the specified terminals of the heater control panel 14-pin connector. See MODE CONTROL SWITCH TEST  table. See Fig 1 or Fig 2. If continuity does not exist, replace heater control panel.

Vent (Face) 8 & 10
Bi-Level (Face/Foot) 9 & 10
Heat (Foot) 7 & 10
Heat/Defrost (Foot/Windshield) 1 & 10
Defrost (Windshield) 4 & 10
Civic Del Sol
Vent (Face) 3 & 14
Bi-Level (Face/Foot) 3 & 13
Heat (Foot) 3 & 6
Heat/Defrost (Foot/Windshield) 3 & 5
