RECIRCULATION Control Motor

CAUTION: If polarity of test battery is reversed, recirculation control motor will be damaged. Also, DO NOT  run motor for more than a few seconds.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect recirculation control motor connector. Connect battery positive lead to recirculation control motor connector terminal No. 1. See Fig 1. Ground terminals No. 2 and 3.
  2. Motor should run smoothly. Disconnect lead from either one of the ground terminals. Door should stop at fresh or recirculation position, depending on which lead was disconnected. If motor does not operate as specified, check for binding door or door linkage. If door and linkage are okay, replace motor.
