RECIRCULATION Control Motor

CAUTION:
During this procedure, if polarity of test battery is reversed, the mode control motor may be damaged. Also, DO NOT run motor for more than a few seconds.
- Disconnect recirculation control motor 5-pin connector. Connect battery power to terminal No. 5 and ground terminals No. 1 and 2 of recirculation control motor connector. See Fig 1 . The recirculation control motor should run smoothly.
- Disconnect either one of the grounded terminals. The recirculation control motor should run stop at fresh or recirculated air position. If motor does not operate as specified, remove it and check for binding door or door linkage. If door and linkage are okay, replace motor.
