Fuel Cut-Off Control

During deceleration and with throttle valve closed, current to fuel injectors is cut off to improve fuel economy at engine speeds over a predetermined RPM. See FUEL CUT-OFF CONTROL SPECIFICATIONS  table. Fuel is also cut-off when RPM exceed limited engine speed regardless of position of throttle valve. See FUEL CUT-OFF CONTROL SPECIFICATIONS  table. On all except Prelude models, if vehicle is not in motion, PCM cuts fuel at engine speeds above 5000 RPM. On Prelude with M/T, if vehicle is not in motion, PCM cuts fuel at engine speeds above 6500 RPM. On Prelude with A/T, if vehicle is not in motion, PCM cuts fuel at engine speeds above 5500 RPM.
