Gear Position Switch
- On Civic, remove center console and disconnect gear position switch 14-pin connector. See Figure . On CR-V, disconnect gear position switch 10-pin connector, located above transaxle. See Figure .
- On all models, check for continuity between specified gear position switch terminals using DVOM. See GEAR POSITION SWITCH CONTINUITY (CIVIC) or GEAR POSITION SWITCH CONTINUITY (CR-V) table. Replace gear position switch if continuity is not as specified.
