Retrieving Trouble Codes
NOTE:
ABS DTCs may be retrieved with manufacturer's PGM Tester or by jumping service check connector.
- Locate 2-pin service check connector. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . Install fused jumper wire or SCS Service Connector (07PAZ-0010100) between 2-pin service check connector terminals. Turn ignition on. DO NOT start engine. DO NOT press brake pedal. Record blinking ABS indicator light sequence. See Fig 3 and Fig 4 .
- When ignition is turned on, ABS indicator light will turn on for 2 seconds, then turn off for 3.6 seconds before blinking first DTC. See Fig 5 . This should not be counted as a DTC. Record blinking ABS indicator light sequence. See Fig 3 and Fig 4 . If a DTC is not set, ABS indicator light will turn off for 3.6 seconds, then turn on and stay on.
- If light flashes DTC(s), conduct appropriate test procedures. If light does not flash DTC(s), go to ABS INDICATOR LIGHT STAYS ON WITH ENGINE RUNNING, NO TROUBLE CODES PRESENT under TROUBLE SHOOTING. After DTCs have been retrieved, turn ignition off. Remove fused jumper wire or SCS Service Connector (07PAZ-0010100).
