Stabilizer Bar Replacement
- Raise the front of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands in the proper locations (see SAFETY STANDS ).
- Remove the front wheels.
- Remove the seven clips (A) and two flange bolts (B), then remove the splash shield (C).
- Remove the self-locking nut (A) while holding the joint pin (B) with a hex wrench (C), and disconnect both stabilizer links (D) from the stabilizer bar (E).NOTE: Use a new self-locking nut during reassembly.
- Remove the bolts (A) and bushing holders (B), then remove the bushings (C) and the stabilizer bar (D).
- Replace the stabilizer hold bracket (E) if necessary.
- Install the stabilizer bar in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Refer to stabilizer link removal/installation to connect the stabilizer bar to the links (see STABILIZER LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Before installing the wheel, clean the mating surfaces of the brake disc and inside of the wheel.
