Sliding Door Pinch Sensor Test/Replacement

  1. Remove the sliding door panel (see SLIDING DOOR PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the pinch sensor (B).

  3. Measure resistance between the pinch sensor 2P connector No. 1 and No. 2 terminals.

    The resistance should vary from about 1 k Ω to about 120 Ω when the sensor is pressed.

  4. If the resistance is not as specified, remove the screws, then replace the pinch sensor.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal. After installing, make sure the sliding door operates properly.
