Oil Pan Removal

- If the engine is already out the vehicle, go to step 6
- Raise the vehicle on a hoist to full height.
- Drain the engine oil (see ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT ).
- Remove the splash shield (see step 29 in ENGINE REMOVAL ).
- Remove exhaust pipe A (see step 33 in ENGINE REMOVAL ).
- Remove the torque converter cover (A) and the two bolts (B) securing the transmission.
- Remove the bolts securing the oil pan.
- Using a flat blade screwdriver, separate the oil pan from the block in the places shown in Fig 2 .
- Remove the oil pan.
