Engine Cooling Fan: Description

Vehicle is equipped with an electric cooling fan. Models with A/C also have a condenser fan. A relay supplies power to the fan(s) when ignition is on and cooling fan switch contacts are closed. On vehicles with A/C, the Engine Control Module/Powertrain Control Module (ECM/PCM) provides a signal in place of the cooling fan switch to operate relay and fan(s) whenever A/C system is operated.
