Audio Remote Switch Test

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 10 other vehicles, including the 2009 Honda S2000, 2008 Honda S2000, 2007 Honda S2000, 2006 Honda S2000, and 2005 Honda S2000. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Remove the instrument panel (see INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Disconnect the 6P connector from the audio remote switch (see AUDIO REMOTE SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).

Measure resistance between terminals No. 5 and No. 6 in each switch position according to the table. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the audio remote switch.

VOL. UP (+)	About 263 Ω
VOL. DOWN (-)	About 512 Ω
CH	About 1.1 kΩ
MODE	About 2.5 kΩ

Reconnect audio remote switch 6P connector.
Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the illumination bulb(s) or the audio remote switch.

With the MUTE switch ON, check for continuity between terminals No. 2 (+) and No. 1 (-).
There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the audio remote switch.
