Rear Power Window Motor Test

- Remove the rear power window switch (see REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH TEST/REPLACEMENT ).
- Test the motor in each direction by connecting battery power and ground to the rear power window switch 14P connector (A) according to the table.

- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, go to next step.
- Remove the door panel (see REAR DOOR PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the rear power window motor (B).
- Check for continuity between the rear power window switch 14P connector terminals and rear power window motor 2P connector terminals as shown. There should be continuity.CONNECTOR TERMINALS REFERENCE
Rear power window switch 14P connector Rear power window motor 2P connector 1 (RED) 1 (RED) 2 (BRN) 2 (BRN) - If the wire harness is OK, faulty rear power window motor; replace the rear door regulator (see REAR DOOR GLASS AND REGULATOR REPLACEMENT ).
