  1. METER GAUGE AND WARNING/INDICATOR 

    GAUGE:

    Item Detail
    Speedometer (with VSC) Based on signals received from wheel speed sensor, hydraulic brake booster calculates vehicle speed and transmits data to meter.
    Tachometer ECM transmits engine speed to meter to display.
    ODO/TRIP meter Combination meter assembly.
    Fuel Displays fuel level in accordance with signal from fuel sender gauge.
    Water Temperature Displays water temperature in accordance with signal from ECM.

    WARNING/INDICATOR:

    Item Signal Description
    TURN Turn signal switch is ON.
    BEAM Displays reception of signal from multiplex network body ECU.
    CHARGE Receives malfunction signals from generator (alternator).
    OIL PRESSURE Warning is displayed when oil pressure is low (pressure switch is ON).
    MIL Receives malfunction signals from ECM.
    DOOR Open door indicator comes on when signal is received from multiplex network body ECU.
    SEAT BELT Driver's seat belt buckle switch is OFF (Unfastened).
    BRAKE Displays warning when parking brake switch is ON or brake fluid level warning switch is ON.
    MAINT (Blinks) Blinks when 4,500 miles has been run after ODO/TRIP switch is set.
    MAINT (Comes on) Comes on when 5,000 miles has been run after ODO/TRIP switch is set.
    CRUISE Receives malfunction signals from ECM.
    AIR BAG Receives malfunction signals from airbag ECU.
    FUEL Receives fuel empty signals from fuel sender gauge.
    A/T P (A/T) Receives P signals from neutral start switch.
    A/T R (A/T) Receives R signals from neutral start switch.
    A/T N (A/T) Receives N signals from neutral start switch.
    A/T D (A/T) Receives D signals from neutral start switch.
    A/T 4 (A/T) Receives 4 signals from neutral start switch.
    A/T 3 (A/T) Receives 3 signals from neutral start switch.
    A/T 2 (A/T) Receives 2 signals from neutral start switch.
    A/T L (A/T) Receives L signals from neutral start switch.
    TAIL Displays when receiving signals from multiplex network body ECU.
    A/T OIL TEMP Displays when receiving signals from ECU.
    AUTO LSD Receives signals from hydraulic brake booster while AUTO LSD is operating.
    SLIP
    • Receives signals from hydraulic brake booster while VSC, TRAC, A-TRAC, A-LSD, DAC, RR DIFF LOCK and HCA are operating.
    • Receives malfunction signals of TRAC, A-TRAC and A-LSD from hydraulic brake booster.
    VSC TRAC Receives malfunction signals of VSC, TRAC, A-TRAC, A-LSD, DAC and HAC from hydraulic brake booster.
    VSC OFF
    • Receives signals from hydraulic brake booster while H4L, L4L and RR DIFF LOCK are operating.
    • Receives malfunction signals of VSC from hydraulic brake booster.
    DAC
    • Receives signals from hydraulic brake booster while DAC and RR DIFF LOCK are operating.
    • Receives malfunction signals of the DAC from hydraulic brake booster.
    4WD Receives signals from 4WD control ECU while 4WD is operating.
    4LO Receives signals from 4WD control ECU while 4LO is operating.
    RR DIFF LOCK Receives signals from 4WD control ECU while RR DIFF LOCK is operating.
    ABS
    • Receives signals from hydraulic brake booster while DIFF LOCK is operating.
    • Receives malfunction signals of ABS, BRAKE ASSIST, and EBD from hydraulic brake booster.
    TIRE PRESSURE Receives signals from tire pressure monitor ECU.

    BUZZER: 

    BUZZER DESCRIPTION TABLE

    Item Signal Description
    Key Reminder Buzzer is ON: Ignition switch is OFF, key is inserted, and door is open.
    Fasten Belt Buzzer is ON: Ignition switch is ON and seat belt is unfastened.
    Manual Shift Reverse (6MT) Buzzer is ON: Ignition switch is ON, shift position is reverse.
  2. SYSTEM FEATURES 

    The combination meter in this vehicle has the following features:

    1. Built-in buzzer for the reminder system (key and seat belt).
    2. Integrated rheostat, trip and odometer knobs.
      • Rotate the knob to adjust the interior illumination.
      • Press and release the knob to scroll through trip A, trip B, and odometer features.
      • Press and hold the trip knob to reset the trip meter functions.
    3. Oil maintenance indicator.
      • 4,500 miles after the ODO/TRIP switch is set, the maintenance indicator blinks for 15 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
      • 5,000 miles after ODO/TRIP switch is set, the maintenance indicator comes on.
