Radiator Replacement

  1. Drain the engine coolant (see COOLANT CHECK ).
  2. Do the battery removal procedure seeBATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. '07 model: Remove the front grille (see FRONT GRILLE REPLACEMENT ).
  4. '08-10 models: Remove the front bumper (see FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  5. Remove the upper radiator hose.

  6. Remove the radiator and A/C condenser fan shroud (see FAN, FAN MOTOR, AND SHROUD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
  7. Remove the lower radiator hose (A) and the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) cooler hoses (B). Plug the ATF cooler hoses and lines.

  8. Remove the radiator upper brackets/cushions (A).

  9. Remove the engine hood latch (B) (see HOOD LATCH REPLACEMENT ).
  10. Pull up the radiator assembly (A), then remove the lower cushions (B).

  11. Install the radiator and fans in the reverse order of removal.
  12. Set the upper and the lower cushions securely.
  13. Adjust the engine hood latch (see HOOD LATCH REPLACEMENT ).
  14. Do the battery removal procedure.
  15. Refill the transmission with ATF (see ATF REPLACEMENT ).
  16. Fill the radiator with engine coolant and bleed the air from the system (see step  8 ).
