HFL Switch Test

Remove the driver's airbag (see DRIVER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
Disconnect the 20P connector (A).

Measure the resistance between the No. 8 and No. 9 terminals in each switch position according to the table.

Position	Resistance
No buttons pressed	About 1 k Ω
HFL TALK button pressed	About 185 Ω
HFL BACK button pressed	About 45 Ω

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ).
