SYMPTOM
The engine pings during moderate to heavy acceleration.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The knock sensor may have been damaged during engine assembly.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
- Replace the knock sensor:
- Refer to page 11-314 of the 2007-2008 Odyssey Service Manual , or
- Online, enter keyword KNOCK, and select Knock Sensor Replacement from the list.
- Drive the vehicle using moderate to heavy acceleration to verify that the engine doesn't ping anymore.
