Third Row Seat Latch Cable Replacement

Special Tools Required

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

*Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857

NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

Remove the third row seat (see THIRD ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Remove the third row seat-back cover (see THIRD ROW SEAT-BACK COVER REPLACEMENT ).
Remove the third row seat cushion cover (see THIRD ROW SEAT CUSHION COVER REPLACEMENT ).
Release the wire ties (A) and the cable clip (B) fastening the latch cable (C) on the seat cushion frame (D).

Release the wire tie (A) and disconnect the latch cable (B) by releasing the push nut (C).
NOTE: Replace the push nut you removed with a new one.

Disconnect the latch cable (A) by releasing the push nut (B), then remove the latch cable.
NOTE: Replace the push nut you removed with a new one.

Install the latch cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the latch cable is connected securely.
- Make sure the third row seat latches and unlatches properly.
