Sliding Door Pinch Sensor Test/Replacement

  1. Remove the sliding door panel (see SLIDING DOOR PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the pinch sensor (B).

  3. Measure the resistance between the pinch sensor 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. The resistance should vary from about 1 kΩ to about 100 Ω when the sensor is pressed.
  4. If the resistance is not as specified, remove the front lower sash, front latch and clip, then replace the pinch sensor.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal. After installing, make sure the sliding door operates properly.
    NOTE:
    • Check the connection with the connector.
    • Check the operation of the sliding door after installing the sliding door pinch sensor.
