Multi-information Switch Test/Replacement

- Remove the driver's airbag assembly (see DRIVER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
- Remove the three screws (A), then remove the steering wheel trim (B), and disconnect connectors (C) from each switches.
- Remove the cover (D).
- Remove the switch mounting screws, then remove the multi-information switch (E) from the steering wheel trim.
- Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 5 in each position according to the table.RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART
Position Resistance ↑ About 33 Ω SEL/RESET About 1043 Ω ↓ About 363 Ω - If the switch is OK, but there is a problem with the switch function, check the cable reel subharness and cable reel.
