Air Cleaner Element Inspection/ Replacement

Open the air cleaner housing cover (A).

Remove the air cleaner element (B) from the air cleaner housing (C).
Check the air cleaner element for damage or clogging. If there is damage or clogging, replace the air cleaner element.
NOTE: Do not use compressed air to clean the air cleaner element.
Clean and remove any debris from the inside of the air cleaner.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
- If you did not replace the air cleaner element, this procedure is complete.
- If the maintenance minder required air cleaner replacement, reset the maintenance minder (see RESETTING THE MAINTENANCE INFORMATION DISPLAY ).
- If you replace the air cleaner element, reset the PCM (see PCM RESET ), and do PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE .
