A/T Oil Pressure Gauge Set 07406-0020005
NOTE:
- Disable the VSA by pressing the VSA OFF switch.
- VSA DTC(s) may come on during the test-drive. If the VSA DTC(s) come on, clear the DTC (s) with the HDS.
- Make sure the transmission fluid is filled to the proper level (see ATF LEVEL CHECK ).
- Raise the vehicle on a lift or apply the parking brake, block the four wheels, and raise the front of the vehicle. Make sure it is securely supported.
- Allow the four wheels to rotate freely.
- Remove the splash shield (A).
- Remove the damper from the front subframe.
- Connect the HDS to the DLC (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and go to the A/T data list. Make sure the HDS communicates with the PCM. If it does not, go to DLC CIRCUIT TROUBLESHOOTING .
- Connect the A/T oil pressure gauge to the line pressure inspection port (A). Do not allow dust or other foreign particles to enter the port while connecting the gauge.
- Start the engine, and warm it up to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan comes on).
- Measure the line pressure at the line pressure inspection port in P or N while holding the engine speed at 2, 000 rpm with the shift lever in P or N.NOTE: Higher pressure may be indicated if measurements are made in the shift lever positions other than P or N.FLUID PRESSURE SPECIFICATION TABLE
Pressure Fluid Pressure Standard Service Limit Line (A) 950 - 1, 010 kPa (9.7 - 10.3 kgf/cm2 , 140 - 146 psi) 900 kPa (9.2 kgf/cm2 , 131 psi) - Turn the engine off, then disconnect the oil pressure gauge from the line pressure inspection port.
- Install the sealing bolt to the line pressure inspection port with a new sealing washer, and tighten the bolt to 18 N.m (1.8 kgf.m, 13 lbf.ft). Do not reuse the old sealing washer.
- Connect the A/T oil pressure gauge to the 1st clutch pressure inspection port (B) and the 1st-hold clutch pressure inspection port (C).
- Remove the intake air duct and the air cleaner assembly, and connect the oil pressure gauge to the 2nd clutch pressure inspection port (D). Then temporarily install the air cleaner assembly and intake air duct.
- Start the engine, and shift into 1.
- Measure the 1st clutch pressure at the 1st clutch pressure inspection port and 1st-hold clutch pressure at the 1st-hold clutch pressure inspection port while holding the engine speed at 2, 000 rpm.
- Shift to 2, and measure the 2nd clutch pressure at the 2nd clutch pressure inspection port while holding the engine speed at 2, 000 rpm.FLUID PRESSURE SPECIFICATION TABLE
Pressure Fluid Pressure Standard Service Limit 1st clutch (B) 2nd clutch (D) 940 - 1, 020 kPa (9.6 - 10.4 kgf/cm2 , 140 - 148 psi) 890 kPa (9.1 kgf/cm2 , 130 psi) 1st-hold clutch (C) 680 - 760 kPa (6.9 - 7.7 kgf/cm2 , 100 -110 psi) 630 kPa (6.4 kgf/cm2 , 91 psi) - Turn the engine off, remove the air cleaner assembly, then disconnect the A/T oil pressure gauge from the 2nd clutch pressure inspection port.
- Disconnect the oil pressure gauges from the 1st clutch pressure and 1st-hold clutch pressure inspection ports.
- Install the sealing bolts in the 1st clutch pressure, 1st-hold clutch pressure, and 2nd clutch pressure inspection ports with new sealing washers, and tighten the sealing bolts to 18 N.m (1.8 kgf.m, 13 lbf.ft). Do not reuse the old sealing washers.
- Connect the A/T oil pressure gauge to the 3rd clutch pressure inspection port (E) and the 5th clutch pressure inspection port (G).
- Connect the A/T oil pressure gauge to the 4th clutch pressure inspection port (F).
- Start the engine, and shift into D, and select D3 driving mode by pressing D3 switch.
- Measure the 3rd clutch pressure at the 3rd clutch pressure inspection port while holding the engine speed at 2, 000 rpm.
- Release D3 driving mode by pressing D3 switch, and measure the 4th clutch pressure at the 4th clutch pressure inspection port while holding the engine speed at 2, 000 rpm.
- Measure the 5th clutch pressure at the 5th clutch pressure inspection port while holding the engine speed at 2, 000 rpm.FLUID PRESSURE SPECIFICATION TABLE
