Shift Lever Knob Replacement

NOTE:
  • Refer to SHIFT LEVER DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY  as needed during the following procedures.
  • Make sure not to get any silicone grease on the terminal part of the connectors and switches, especially if you have silicone grease on your hands or gloves.
  1. Remove the left center console panel (see DASHBOARD/STEERING HANGER BEAM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Shift the shift lever to N.
  3. Disconnect the D3 switch connector (A).

  4. Remove the screws (A), and remove the shift lever knob (B) from the shift lever.

  5. Apply silicone grease to the top of the shift lever rod (A).

  6. Install the new shift lever knob (B).
  7. Secure the shift lever knob with the new screws (C).
  8. Connect the D3 switch connector (A).

  9. Install the the left center panel (see DASHBOARD/STEERING HANGER BEAM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
