HFL Switch Test

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component location (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) in the SRS section before doing repairs or service.

1. Remove the HFL switch (see HFL SWITCH REPLACEMENT  ).

2. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 2 and No. 3 in each switch position according to the table.

   No button pressed	About 1 k Ω
   HFL TALK button pressed	About 185 Ω
   HFL BACK button pressed	About 45 Ω

3. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the HFL switch (see HFL SWITCH REPLACEMENT  ).
