DTC 1402: Audio Error 2
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first (see 12 VOLT BATTERY TEST ).
- This navigation DTC sets when there is a problem with the audio disc player.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION ).
- Check that the dash temperature is between -4°F (-20°C) and 158°F (70°C).
- Clear the hard error code (see HOW TO CLEAR ERROR HISTORY ).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
- Check for the hard error code (see HOW TO CHECK ERROR HISTORY (NAVIGATION DTCS)
).
Is DTC 1402 indicated?
YES -Check if the audio system functions are working properly. If any problems are found, go to affected troubleshooting in audio section.
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the vehicle repeatedly comes back with the navigation DTC, replace the audio-navigation unit (see AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
