Symptom Troubleshooting Index

If the vehicle has one of the symptoms below, check for a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) with the HDS. If there is no DTC, do the diagnostic procedure for the symptom.

IMA system indicator stays on, no DTCs set	Troubleshoot the IMA system indicator circuit (see IMA SYSTEM INDICATOR STAYS ON, NO DTCS SET ).
IMA system indicator never comes on, no DTCs set	Troubleshoot the IMA system indicator circuit (see IMA SYSTEM INDICATOR NEVER COMES ON, NO DTCS SET ).
Charging system indicator stays on, no DTCs set	Troubleshoot the charging system indicator circuit (see CHARGING SYSTEM INDICATOR STAYS ON, NO DTCS SET ).
Charging system indicator flickers, no DTCs set	Troubleshoot the charging system indicator circuit (see CHARGING SYSTEM INDICATOR FLICKERS, NO DTCS SET ).
Charging system indicator never comes on, no DTCs set	Troubleshoot the charging system indicator circuit (see CHARGING SYSTEM INDICATOR NEVER COMES ON, NO DTCS SET ).
HDS does not communicate with the MCM or other vehicle systems	Troubleshoot the DLC circuit (see DLC CIRCUIT TROUBLESHOOTING ).
