Passenger's Seat
Calibrate the ODS unit after any of the these actions (see ODS UNIT CALIBRATION ):
- Front passenger's seat replacement (including any seat components)
- Replacement of the seat weight sensors
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- If the side airbag has deployed, replace the seat frame and all related parts with new ones (see COMPONENT REPLACEMENT/INSPECTION AFTER DEPLOYMENT ).
- Remove the front seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove these items:
- Front seat outer recline cover (see FRONT SEAT RECLINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Front seat inner recline cover (see INNER RECLINE COVER )
- Front seat-back cover/pad (see FRONT SEAT-BACK COVER/PAD REPLACEMENT )
- Front seat cushion cover/pad (see FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER/PAD REPLACEMENT )
- Front seat outer recline inner cover (see RECLINE INNER COVER )
- Front seat inner recline inner cover (see RECLINE INNER COVER )
- ODS unit (see ODS UNIT REPLACEMENT )
- Seat belt buckle (see FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLE )
- Side airbag (see SIDE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT )
- Replace the front seat frame (A) with a new one.
- If necessary, remove the bolts, and release the seat cushion springs (A) from the hooks (B), then remove the seat cushion frame (C).
- Remove the seat weight sensors (see FRONT PASSENGER'S WEIGHT SENSOR REPLACEMENT ).
- If necessary, remove the bushings (A, B) from the seat cushion frame (C).
- Reassemble the passenger's seat in the reverse order of disassembly, and reinstall it in the vehicle.
