Rocker Arm Assembly Installation

  1. If the rocker arm assembly is disassembled, reassemble the rocker arm assembly. (See ROCKER ARM AND SHAFT DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ). Refer to Figure.
  2. Apply engine oil to the end of the valve stem.
  3. Install the rocker arm assembly.

  4. Tighten each bolts two turns at a time in the sequence shown below.

    Specified Torque 

    6 x 1.0 mm 

    (1)-(10): 15 N.m (1.5 kgf.m, 11 lbf.ft) 

    (11): 9.8 N.m (1.0 kgf.m, 7.2 lbf.ft)

  5. Adjust the valve clearance (see VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT  ).
  6. Install the cylinder head cover (see CYLINDER HEAD COVER INSTALLATION  ).
