Mode Control Cable Removal/Installation
- Open the glove box. Release the glove box stop on each side, then let the glove box hang down (see PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
).
- Set the mode control dial to VENT (
).
- Detach the mode control cable housing from the clamp (A), and disconnect the inner cable (B) from the mode control linkage (C).

- Detach the mode control cable from the mode control switch and remove it (see HEATER CONTROL PANEL DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY
).
- Install the cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the ring (D) is fastened securely in the groove (E).
- After installation, operate the controls to make sure they work properly.
