HFL Switch Test

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component location (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) in the SRS information before doing repairs or service.

1. Remove the HFL-navigation voice control switch (with navigation) (see VOICE CONTROL SWITCH REPLACEMENT ) or HFL switch (without navigation) (see HFL SWITCH TEST  ).

2. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 3 and No. 4 in each switch position according to the table.
   HFL-NAVIGATION VOICE CONTROL SWITCH (WITH NAVIGATION)

   PICK UP button pressed	About 222 Ω
   HANG UP button pressed	About 47 Ω

   HFL SWITCH (WITHOUT NAVIGATION)
   
   

   Position	Resistance
   No button pressed	About 1 kΩ
   HFL TALK button pressed	About 185 Ω
   HFL BACK button pressed	About 45 Ω

3. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the switch.
   • With navigation (see VOICE CONTROL SWITCH REPLACEMENT )
   • Without navigation (see HFL SWITCH REPLACEMENT  )
