SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or service.

  1. Remove the driver's airbag assembly (see DRIVER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
  2. Turn the steering wheel to right, the loosen the screw (A) from the back to the steering wheel.

  3. Remove the screws (A) from the steering wheel.

  4. Disconnect the connectors, and remove the steering wheel trim (B).
  5. Remove the screws and the HFL switch (A).
    NOTE: The HFL-navigation voice control switch and the HFL switch are the same parts.

  6. Remove the screw and the audio remote switch (A).

  7. Install the audio remote switch in the reverse order of removal.
