Shift Lever Knob Replacement

NOTE:
  • Refer to the SHIFT LEVER DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY  as needed during the following procedures.
  • Make sure not to get any silicone grease on the terminal part of the connectors and switches, especially if you have silicone grease on your hands or gloves.
  1. Remove the driver's center panel (see DASHBOARD CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Shift the shift lever to N.
  3. Disconnect the D3 switch connector (A).

  4. Remove the screws (A), and remove the shift lever knob (B) from the shift lever.

  5. Apply silicone grease to the top of the shift lever rod (A).

  6. Install a new shift lever knob (B).
  7. Secure the shift lever knob with new screws (C).
  8. Connect the D3 switch connector (A).

  9. Install the driver's center panel (see DASHBOARD CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
