Column Cover Removal/Installation

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to scratch or damage the column covers.
  • Do not pry on the cover surfaces with any tools.
  1. Adjust the steering column so that it is fully tilted down and fully extended.
  2. Turn the steering wheel to a position where the column cover screws can be seen, then remove the screws from the front side of the column cover (A).

  3. Release the hooks (A), then remove the upper column cover (B).

  4. Remove the three screws (A, B, C), then remove the lower column cover (D).

  5. Install the upper and lower column cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • Push the hooks and tabs into place securely.
    • Before tightening the screws, make sure the wire harnesses are not pinched.
