DTC 1410: Audio Error 10 (RES Error)
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ).
- This navigation DTC sets when a mechanical malfunction in the rear controller and screen is detected.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION ).
- Check that the temperature is between -4°F (-20°C), below 158°F (70°C) around the rear controller and screen.
- Clear the hard error code (see HOW TO CLEAR ERROR HISTORY ).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
- Check for the hard error code (see HOW TO CHECK ERROR HISTORY (NAVIGATION DTCS)
).
Is DTC 1410 indicated?
YES -Go to step 5.
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the vehicle repeatedly comes back with the navigation DTC, replace the audio-navigation unit (see AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode (see SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE ).
- Select the RES in the System Links (see SYSTEM LINKS
).
Is Connection OK indicated?
YES -Replace the rear controller and screen (see REAR CONTROLLER AND SCREEN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
NO -Do the DTC 2708 troubleshooting (see DTC 2708: RES DIAG ).
